HOLIDAY DESTINATIONS

Mabul Island, Sabah
Mabul Island has a rich sea life and reef and is a haven for divers and snorkelers. It is located off the southeastern coast of Sabah and 15km from Sipadan Island. The 2-km reef has a variety of sea animals such as cuttlefish, octopus, squids, eels and frogfish. Mabul Island is actually part of a larger 200-hectare reef which sits on the edge of the continental shelf. The local island village with its soft sandy beaches has various accommodation types from budget lodgings to luxury water bungalows.
Pulau Redang, Terengganu
Redang Island is one of the nine islands, which form a marine sanctuary park, in Terengganu. It is famous for its crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches. The accommodation in Redang are mostly resorts. Swimming among the coral and fish is just a few metres from the beach. As the island is also a nesting place for turtles, ecotourism is an attraction here. Redang is best to visit from April to August when the northeast monsoon from South China Sea is over.

Stadthuys, Melaka
Stadthuys, a historical building built by the Dutch in 1650, is located in Melaka city centre. Its location is known as the Red Square due to the red exterior and red clocktower. The building is now home to the History and Ethnography Museum, displaying traditional costumes and artifacts. Stadthuys is a reproduction of Stadhuis, a former townhall in Hoorn in the Netherlands. Nearby is the Queen Victoria’s fountain which was built by the British in 1901. The European style of this area is a stark contrast to traditional buildings in other parts of Melaka.
